I have two sweet friends who released books last week–and I completely missed their release days!

When I saw WARRIOR ASCENDED in the bookstore and popped the book open to somewhere about the first third and started reading (my typical habit with an author new to me), I was immediately taken my the cadence of her voice. Then I read the jacket copy and I was hooked. Then I found out that WARRIOR AVENGED is the first of her series and I had to buy it…because I never read out of order.

I’ve been drowning in work and studies related to work for the past 6 weeks, and my writing has taken a serious hit due to lack of time and energy, not to mention direction for the story I’m writing.
So, this news felt particularly nice.
Would love to hear from others who have finaled–this year or in the past.

Contests Anyone?
>One of my chapter mates nudged me into entering the Linda Howard Award of Excellence. The first push was their online submissions — no hassling with postage and return postage and mailing. The kicker was that the romantic suspense editor for finals was Senior Editor of Pocket.
Sure couldn’t hurt to get my work in front of a Pocket editor.
Now…I just have to figure out what I’m doing for the Golden Heart. Hmmmm….
